Boy, what a task! A hotel web design is expected by our clients and prospective clients alike to walk on water. OK, the websites, by expectation need to at least make a top 3 ranking in Google… Isn’t that walking on water?
We really have no choice, because quiet simply business is about making money and only top ranked websites get traffic. So, taking this bull by the horns is a must! Hi, welcome back to “Got Local Marketing.” Your company may have printed many a brochure and pamphlets over the years, but when it comes to your website today’s consumers expect more than any brochure or pamphlet can provide. They seek to be engaged and find solutions!
Here’s what I mean by that statement. I recently purchased a lock for my gym locker. It was a Master Lock. I thought to myself, “They should have a place on their website for me to store my lock combination.” So, I went to their site expecting to find a place to store my new combination. They didn’t fail me; in fact, they have a place for me to store up to five combinations. Oh, by the way, I’ve been back to their site three times in the last year looking up my combination.
Is your prospect or client expecting something special of you? These are the kinds of things you and your team must ask; better yet, ask your clients. These and other things should be thought out. Like, what needs might your website meet for everyone involved? Your Employees, customers and prospective customers deserve to have their needs met. You should be meeting some of these needs through the design and inter-activeness of your website. After all it is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week!
First, let me start off by telling you when it comes to the Internet, nothing is impossible! The impossible simply cost a few dollars more. So, almost any process can be automated online. This saves man power and keeps the inherent cost of human error down to a minimum. Obviously at the same time these automated processes can shorten your booking cycle. This allows for more rooms to be booked during any month. But, most important are those processes that bring value to your web visitors.
So, your homework for this week is to step back and ask yourself what are interactive solutions that will cause your prospects, customers and employees to return again and again to your website? Then you must go make them happen. Everyone is expectantly waiting for you to meet their needs with an online solution! Here’s to opening the floodgate of bookings at your front door and I’ll see you next time!
